Parents are already complaining about travel cost in ECNL. With the DA travel schedule your travel cost would be at least 30% more. The two ENCL clubs here do not benefit from the OYSA tax so cannot really subsidize their teams like the Thorns.
Also, you have to fight to get players who do not want to play HS.
I really doubt anyone other than the Thorns applied for the DA.
There is a reason why clubs are going back to ECNL.Comment

They never realized US club took them in for revenue and embedded league fodder. Which they have delivered in spades.
US Soccer DA rejected them based on lack of coaching and their body of work as clubs.
Thorns didn't have to apply for DA, US Soccer invited the NWSL clubs before they did the nationwide club application process/selection.
The same 2 local clubs applied for a little boys Oregon DA acceptance, and were hoping the girls side would get into the National DA.
Which looking back on it"s hilarious and sad at the same time.

There is a reason that 80 clubs joined the DA in 2017 for girls, they wanted to leave a league that was littered with an influx of horrible fodder clubs who joined to improve the US Club bottom line and were no challenge to the top clubs on the field. Those that return to the ECNL today of any merit have been promised they will never play in Oregon or have play them in any 'showcase'. This is the ECNL club map year year prior to when GDA was created. By the start of next season, only ~20 of the clubs that remain in GDA will be clubs that were in ECNL in 2016. That means GDA will be stuck with a handful of good clubs and a vast majority of sucky ones like Thorns. That’s the truth. Sorry to break it to you.Comment

Evidence is right here in oregon.
Salmon creeks 00 would destroy Fcp or cu Ecnl
CFC 01 would give cu a run and Fcp is terrible at that age
Wash t 02 would make a mockery out of them
GPS has always been a better team
Eastside 04 is good but Fcp and cu are so bad at that age there is no point
You might be dumb enough to think that this isn’t true but isn’t it funny that you can’t guarantee it and the evidence of when the Ecnl teams play teams around them their parents start wondering why they aren’t way better
