My DD is on the GPS team. You could be right on other topics, but pretty sure the General Lee comments are from the FC parent that also ends his arguments with "Facts". Some folks are so predictable...

You are probably right. They are a pretentious lot.

My daughter started with THUSC (OYSA) and moved up to ECNL and has loved every minute of her soccer journey. It's been a perfect fit for her.

FC Portland ECNL 2001 finished in 4th place in OYSA premier. FC just never could pull it together.

So funny no one refers to specific clubs by their name
Anymore. League propaganda and lying has gotten so bad people claim a league until they realized they’ve been duped

Yeah so what? They would still be top 5-10 in the state of Oregon so what is your point.

Find the best coaching and fit for your kid, a place where' they will thrive and improve. Preferably a place that doesn't require too much travel and fits your budget. In the end that's all that matters. The patches on the uniform do not.

There is an entire thread dedicated to the mighty FC 01 girls and their achievement.

                      That’s ok. It’s better than 5th place or 6th.

The remaining better teams are playing up a couple years so we are king of the mountain now and love it. Dominating weak teams and scoring loads of goals to show college coaches is a dream come true for our players. College coaches don’t know the difference because they recruit our players just the same too so I don’t think Oysa is a problem or needs to be fixed in any way.
This is true. Even girls from mostly average Oysa teams are getting recruited no problem. Our mid-pack oysa u18/19 team is on its way to all girls being recruited. Why is there any reason to spend the time and money on academy or ecnl? College coaches don’t seem to care where you play or if the competition is weak. In fact, our girls look better because they are playing against weaker competition.

Ecnl is terribly weak competition. If you consider most Oregon Ecnl teams aren’t even the best in state and they are paying and flying to play B and C level teams. Sure sprinkle in 1-2 good teams but it’s really just a slightly better version of OYSA and in some case not.

The travel and cost is pretty stupid for what you are getting in return. When Salmon creek will have kids go to the same schools or better you have to realize how dumb it is to pay and travel more risking crap development.

I’d rather do 8 local games and then your tournaments for harder competition.

Playing in Crossfire Challenge in the summertime will get you the same competition as doing the local ECNL league. Do Surf or other national tourney of your choice if you want to do a cattle call for recruiters.
