Other teams might try to open with in club play, training, regional scrimmages, regional tournaments or maybe a downsized ECNL league minus several teams.
The hopes for ECNL showcase events are now done. NCAA has extended the restriction for all on campus and off campus recruiting for coaches through June 30th. It's over Johnny

That's about when camps would have started regardless, but CT or other states would dial that back if the numbers don't support it. At least here in the NE cases are finally going down. fingers crossed it continues. I know some camps are already cancelled. Parents are going to start getting desperate for summer care/getting their kids out of the house.

that means no ID events before then either, even if their colleges would have allowed it. now ID events are pushed later into the summer or even fall.

Ben Chaback, director at High Meadow Day Camp in Granby, said the camp will open on that date and run until Aug. 21. The camp, which usually hosts about 400 kids each summer, will have 200 to 250 this year, Chaback said, to allow for adequate social distancing and maintain camper-staff ratios.

“Kids are going to be in groups of 10, with one counselor for each group. That group of 10 is going to function as its own pod. They will not be able to come into contact with other groups,” Chaback said. “In a normal summer, if there were two fifth-grade boy groups during a period, they would be put on a basketball court to play together. We’re not going to be able to do that this year.”

Some colleges have already cancelled summer ID camps. My daughter heard from some coaches that their colleges had shut down campuses for the summer so no camps. All in NE. Some southern schools still making noises they will hold them if campuses are open. Which will probably be the case since more likely down south everything is open up sooner than up here.
