Talk about the overreaction of the decade. Absolutely zero chance of that happening.

Thanks Debbie Downer. Do you like to be the person “possibly” in the months to come, just be able to say on TS “I told you so”?

The “multiple sources” are who? A friend that coaches, a teacher, etc.
Nobody is making that call yet. Everyone is in a wait and see.

All it will take is watch what happens over in Europe and Asia and how they’re handling school, sports, life and you’ll have a clearer picture.
If CFB, NFL cancels its season before CIAC, then you’ll have your blueprint.
Let the $$$ leagues make a decision before YOUR multiple sources.

        Thanks again Debbie!

It's a worst-case scenario but it isn't outside the realm of possibility either. The pros and colleges are also creating contingency plans just in case. The kids are talking about it as well, which is unfortunate because they're stressed enough as it is.

No kidding it’s a possibility. BUT why post a possibility unless you want to be a “I told you so” guy that has all the time in the world and the sky is falling mentality. The NFL and CFB are I’m sure, but not one has said, “We probably not going to have a season” like the OP states.
            I mean his “sources”.. haha

It’s just being a Debbie Downer. As the old adage says, “If you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all”!

If they are not allowed to play high school sports in the fall the. Kids won’t be going back to school either. Economy will crash. Housing market will be disgusting. And everyone will be out of a job

Yeah if there's no school we are phuked and sports is the last thing anyone is worried about. But they also could have school and yet no sports.

It’s not a possibility. Pro leagues might play to empty stadiums, but HS sports are a different animal. Maybe they’ll play without parents? LOL. Wouldn’t that be something? What would we do then?

Look, it’s going to be back to work in about 3-4 weeks. No travel. No concerts. No pro sports. Late summer, it will be back to normal. HS sports don’t start until late August. They’ll be fine. You sky is fall people would crack me up if it wasn’t so obnoxious. Focus now should be on data from the deaths and developing a treatment/vaccine in case it returns next winter.

No way Fall sports get cancelled. Banning end of game hand skates and fan distancing, maybe, but no way they don't play.

I mean the decade is only 3+ months old, so this could be the "overreaction of the decade"....

However, there is a nonzero chance of Fall Sports being cancelled.

Not sure if it's worth starting school back up for a few weeks. Kids are spreaders. Keep them out of school until the fall and hope there isn't a big 2and wave in the fall

How is it back to normal in 3-4 weeks, when thousands of people are dying every day? Are you nuts? Even if the stay home orders are lifted, which they won't be, people aren't going back to normal life while the bodies pile up.

Going back to normal will depend on us finding an effective treatment/preventative. Once people stop dying -- however that is achieved-- then we will go back to work and life as we knew it.

Even if school starts back up late May, other non necessities may not be warranted. Go back to things too fast amd we'll spike cases again.

Meanwhile stop fretting. Accept that it's all out of our hands.
