      It happens in all sports - but in other sports there's a greater volume of dad coaches so there's more success stories. The other sports have more parents who played themselves, upping the likelihood of getting a good coach and weeding out the bad. There's plenty of failures as well. It's also very dependent on personalities and the motivations of the daddy coach. If they're doing it to give their kid a leg up it's bound to backfire in the long run.
