No ECNL doesn’t want Albertson closing up shop and forfeiting the rest of the season. The story out there is it’s business as usually til after the ECNL season ends. Albertson is going along with this so they can still run tryouts with the ECNL name to attract players. That sounds very risky for both Albertson and ECNL. If I was a parent who was promised ECNL and then was told "oops, sorry ECNL took it away from us" I would expect a full refund. ECNL would then lose face promising clubs renewal in the league, and then Pulling that announcement Who would trust them after that? Finally, it takes months to get approval for NPL acceptances. NE girls NPL only accepts ECNL clubs, so Albertson would have to apply through either NYSCL or EDP for US Club to accept them. Parents cannot go to the club, if they go to the club they will not get any answers just like when Albertson was removed from the Boys DA. They did not publicly state they were removed or informed many of the players on their teams.
