Now YOU follow follow along SUCKA:
1. The Trotters bid has not happened. -> YES it has.
2. GPS has been less than truthful about having won such bid. -> Multiple sources (including at ACYS) have said that GPS has.
3. GPS is a corporate (not cooperate) entity that uses our local community soccer dollars to line their corporate pockets outside of our community. -> ALL clubs do this. Whether it's their LOCAL Board of Directors pockets or Corporate ones what does it matter? You pay for a product and hopefully your kid get's out of it what they put in. No different than sending your kid to private school. They still need to perform and do work on their own to be successful.
4. GPS has a history of not being truthful. -> Which club does? ALL of them LIE either directly or through omission.
5. GPS does a limited amount of community outreach relative to the other Clubs in town. -> Truthfully speaking, they barely have fields. How can they be expected to do more?
6. FCA and Maitland both performed better as community based programs prior to the GPS takeover. -> When you say "community based Programs" do you mean with "Daddy" coaches? Not a fan of GPS but their coaches were better than a good portion of the existing ones FCA & Maitland had. Yes those clubs had SOME good coaches but if you line them up age group-wise top to bottom. GPS brought a better product in coaches to the table.
7. GPS teams have not been performing up to expectations and overall perform WORSE then most of the other Clubs in town. SHOCKING REALITY CHECK. -> What expectations are those? Truth be told: Youth soccer is all about DEVELOPMENT. NOT winning. Winning is all rotational. ACYS & Rush don't have a good girls program FKK & OCYS do. As coaches move to clubs and kids age up these things happen. ACYS was not always good and Hunters Creek and Maitland were not always bad.
8. GPS cares more about proving their point and lining their corporate pockets then it does about delivering a superior product and what is in the best interests of the community it serves. -> NO club does. Soccer is a money making business. Catering to the upper middle and up class. The BEST athletes in Orlando don't even play the sport. It is not ANY clubs responsibility to serve the best interest of ANY community. It's a business. Just like LA Fitness, Weight Watchers, or any other dance or acting studio. You are paying for a service. Get off your high horse. I'm sure whatever club YOU are affiliated with is NOT doing ALL those things you are saying someone else is not doing either.
9. GPS has a lot of similarities with our corporate OC friends in Seminole and are cut from the same cloth. -> As are MOST if not ALL other clubs.
10. GPS has the best uniforms in town!!!!!! > That depends if your favorite color is Red, Navy Blue, Purple, Royal Blue or Yellow.
Did I miss anything? Yes. You're knowledge about how youth soccer is run in this COUNTRY is WRONG. If you have friends out of state that have kids who play soccer ask them how much they pay and what they get. It's the SAME all over.

GPS Orlando (FC America/Maitland) can't be making that much profit after it pays for fields, the coaches salaries, and other costs. If GPS Orlando wins a whopping bid for Trotters Park it goes back to the city. The coaches all live in Orlando and their salary goes back into the local economy. The tournaments hosted by GPS Orlando bring in money to Orlando. The kids and families benefit from the health and recreation services they receive. If any cream is left over for corporate overhead costs and the brand, it can't be much.
