Heard this is a done deal. I understand what Rush gets out of this but what does Aztec?

Any more details on this? Is merged club playing as NE Rush or Aztec? Can’t see the national Rush organization giving up territory, but I’m sure NE Rush wants Aztec’s access to NEP/NPL. Also can’t see NEP giving Aztec access to NE Rush.

Just asking are the rush regions franchises meaning people can pay rush for their branding?
Just a thought could be way off but what if the people in charge or ne rush just decided to give it up and bring their teams over to aztec? Just seems strange why wouldn't they also bring Rhode Island rush with them?
Again just thoughts but does seem strange for a big nation wide club to have to join with a not so great club sorry but kind of true.

NE Rush was gutted at tryouts.
NE and RI Rush are separate entities that have nothing to do with eachother.

Re: why do it? NE Rush and Aztec are nearly the same size (2 doz teams each) and NE Rush has some strong boys teams in age groups where Aztec NPL is really struggling for both quantity and quality. Rush has some excellent U16+ girls teams also. Sounds like this merger could make the combined org stronger overall, assuming they get the administration right and the egos don’t ruin it.
With all the mergers and acquisitions between NSL and NEP clubs this Spring it was often hard to see a clear win for both sides. Strangely, this one seems to make sense for both sides.
Wonder what the name will be.

This is my favorite part:
Aztec Central and Aztec Boston both representing the core values held in high regard: leadership, unity, accountability and transparency. The synergy between the clubs speaks to the value that both organizations place on the stewardship of their staff, players and families. “Our values are similar and our missions are aligned,” says Aztec President, Mike Kersker.
Yah, that’s exactly the set of values Aztecs and MK are known for.

My favorite part is all the great new people that are affiliated with this club! Keep up the great work MK! Nice to see Aztec bouncing back.
