Coach was solid, team was strong, great schedule, top tournaments. We were new to the club and very impressed. Then high school break. No practice, a few tournaments (with bad results), but the team kept strong. It was a bad few weeks. No biggie, it happens. We came back from HS break and the coach disappeared. Personal issues I believe, new job or something, but nonetheless, the club was no where to be found. They eventually got us a mommy coach for 1 night a week. Yes, you read that correctly. Babysitting 101. Games stopped, tournaments became local rec stuff. End of the year, DOC outlined the plans for next year. New very experienced coach, B-license, ex-pro. Premier league entry, regional league, confirmed attendance at CASL, Disney, and Jeff Cup. Same GDA curriculum and the option to DP with the GDA. Plus the girls could still play HS. Sounded awesome. Players were excited. Where do I sign?
Reality? 8 months later. That experienced coach? Fired from another local club for cheating. No B-license. Not sure he could even play FIFA on X-box. Can't remember player positions. Loads the field like peewee soccer. Everyone play everywhere in all positions. No GDA curriculum. No DP with the GDA. No FSPL. No SRPL. No showcase tournaments. DOC is no where to be found. Maybe he's busy counting our money?
Practices are regularly cancelled for lack of fields. No attempts for an alternate location or at least an indoor facility.
Yep, we got taken for a big ride with these jokers. BU is a complete mess. Even if you live across the street from the fields, in no situation at all should you play at this club.

So many people have come on here and stated the obvious that Boca United has literally never won anything ever. Their boys DA has been one of the worst DA’s in the country since it was chosen as one of the first DA’s in Fl. Their girls were mysteriously chosen for ECNL a few years ago even though they were arguably one of the least successful longer existing clubs in Florida. I seriously don’t think they ever even had a team make state cup final four in their history, they were always a very very weak club with one of the worst staffs around yet because they have a former pro as their DOC who is friends with former pros who run US soccer only politics gave the the opportunity to play in both DA and ECNL. Their results were so bad in ECNL that they got humiliated every game and were kicked out of ECNL. They were a disgrace. Then the DOC’s buddies at us soccer helped them survive again and gave them girls DA also. What a complete joke. Now Boca United is probably the worst DA in the country for both boys and girls. Their teams are an embarrassment to US soccer and obviously Florida. They have players who are B team players from other clubs who shouldn’t come close to making a DA but Boca United takes any player who can breath and fork over their fee which isn’t supposed to happen at a DA but does all the time at BU. I undertstand wanting your kid to play in a DA if they are a national team level but Boca United isn’t a real DA, they are an embarrassment. They are literally a recreational level club and not even a good one at that. Their staff sucks, fields suck, and results suck. Sending your kid there is just asinine.

Eric is who is is, he’s never changed. Good player but terrible coach which isn’t uncommon. His pro background is what’s got him everything and the honest bottom line is that he is a horrible DOC who can’t coach or run a club. Boca United has never won anything ever but it’s us club soccer’s fault that they gave the DA flag to such a horribly weak and unsuccessful club. Honestly Boca United wouldn’t even be rated as a good recreational club so to have it be a DA is a travesty. It’s honestly what’s wrong with US Soccer youth in a nutshell.
