    That example is all too common on the boys side. There's not a lot of money available if you don't have a foreign passport and many DA players wind up in programs they could have made playing HS and high level club. Coaches leave all the time and that's out of a player's control. Many players burn out too. The likelihood of playing all four years isn't good. Always pick the school first. Always.

      That is true. I forget the exact numbers but recall it's double the rate. You'd think the women's would be higher with the earlier recruiting. I think men are more determined to keep playing, and are more willing to walk away from one team to find another.
