Does it matter if you really want to go to a school like smith and get a great education? Being part of a team...or even just a club becomes as much of a social boost as an athletic one. The goals of the individual vary, but at a division 3 school like smith, winning the NCAA may not be the highest priority. Bonding with other girls and getting a great education is the higher priority.

Smith is been trending in the right direction on the soccer field. It has been recruiting better players to a very strong academic college that gets to use several other campus if players wish. Not 100% sure which schools. They play a decent style of soccer and should be 4 or 5 next year in the NEWMAC. As for the campus life it is an all girls school but do no know the ratio of LBGTQ percentage. I know several players that are attending and really like the school.

There should always be an objective and a good faith effort in achieving it.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostDifferent poster, but went to a Smith Game this season to cheer on my player from another team, and I would say the support for their teams is greater than at Co-ed schools. Girls come and cheer on girls. I saw the lacrosse team, the basketball team, and the volleyball team, and the swim team there, (Assuming from their gear) It was cool dynamic to see as a woman. It made me think differently about the all female dynamic at such schools. Oh and the campus is beautiful in the Fall. NoHo is a great town. Not gonna lie, I liked it enough to encourage my younger daughter to apply there.
