Freya didn’t know what the hell she was getting into... the 3 W towns are all the same.
DONT take the job unless you will play ball with the parents PERIOD!!!!
Playing ball with the parents is one thing but Wilton is an entirely different animal. The Freya situation is a great example of the nonsense that goes on there but certainly not the only one. It is hysterical that she’ll be coaching some of the top players in our country and the coach that slithered in knows less about the game than his players. I guess that’s all they could get after seeing what happened to her.

The town already had a bad reputation but her case was such an extreme no one wants to touch it now. And now FC is coaching a pro team. Too funny.

And she will never win anything either. She’s still a losing coach.

Actually, it is true. Can you dispute it with facts? Look, she just wasn’t ready. If she coached at trinity catholic were expectations were lower, she would have still lost, but it would have been accepted.

She’s coaching in the pros- that’s a W in everyone’s book and certainly means she is overqualified as a high school coach Maybe if you people would have STFU and let her do her job your kids may have learned something and won more But you knew better - but all your known for now is crazy parents and dirty players
                  Enjoy the meal you made

Because Sky Blue is all about being cheap. She is lowest paid coach by far and there is no expectations there.

Moving home games to Red Bull Arena is a nice step forward for Sky Blue.

Let' see how she does with actual soccer players vs with spoiled brats whose parents either write checks (club) or go running to a school board when their princess isn't treated like royalty.

So she’s coaching a professional team which includes the likes of carli Lloyd and other national team players and there are no expectations. Interesting take.

Out of curiosity I was trying to find info on how much a NWSL coaches make and whether or not your statement is true or false. Couldn't find anything other than the pathetically low salaries for players. So where's your link big boy? Sky Blue announced they're are investing more (moving, raising player salaries). Why would they not make an effort into having the right coach? Also it would be perfectly normal for a new, less experienced coach to make less than a more seasoned one would.

I did find this though https://www.orlandosentinel.com/spor...217-story.html

The hiring officially ends Sky Blue's coaching search, which began after the club fired Denise Reddy in June. Though general manager Alyse LaHue had hoped to quickly replace Reddy, an unexpected amount of interest in the role postponed the decision to the offseason.

"Freya is extremely talented and her passion for soccer is infectious," owner representative Tammy Murphy said in the same statement. "Freya's undeniable work ethic made our decision easy. She earned the trust and respect of our players quickly last season."

Murphy’s feelings were reflected not just by LaHue in the statement, but by forward Paige Monaghan. After Coombe’s first match, a 2-1 loss to the North Carolina Courage, Monaghan told Pro Soccer USA the coach is “just an awesome human. Really knows how to coach the players and tailor to our needs, but also pushing us every game, every practice so credit to her for all of our success.”

IKR? The club is moving to a bigger location and raising player salaries, trying to capitalize on WC and Olympics momentum, but they're going to go cheap on a coach because they don't expect the investment to pay off?

Serious question, what is the usual career path for a women's pro coach? Is it unusual that FC went from Everton which in the big picture is pretty low level for girls, to one year at NYSC GDA with very little success, to a pro team?
