But they just keep making the same mistakes and then bringing in kids from the outside who outshine their brutes who have no soccer IQ. But they foul really good. What is that definition of insanity again?
Gotta be pretty short sighted to put your kids with ow

Wow, you all sound like OW steals kids, but I suppose these ginga and sporting kids show up at tryouts, so they must not be too happy on those teams or they wouldn’t tryout for OW. No one forces these kids to attend tryouts. Can’t steal players that are looking to play at other clubs

It’s the perfect storm of pulling in blue collar sporting kids and white trash from Ginga. Blend that with arrogant Glastonbury families and you have the perfect storm. Picking apart teenage girls out of jealousy. This might be the new low water mark.

CFC parents are pretty brutal but most of their bluster is over college commitment superiority. At least they have some tangible facts to work with
Slime, blue collar, white trash, arrogant, jealousy, brutal???

And you are taking shots at others? That’s amazing

Or maybe they selected the right players but did a lousy job developing them? Or maybe they were the best of a bad bunch of apples to begin with?

They need to build teams to make money. If you can write a check you are in

These forwards are not scoring by themselves.

                  Signed...poster with a forward.
As a parent whose kid plays as a wingback and cdm, i appreciate when parents call out the great passes that lead to goals with the same enthusiasm as congratulating the scorer. Kids need to know that a fantastic assist or use of vision is valued the same way getting the final touch is. We cant have teams where we have 8 kids trying to play striker.

Not sure if that is a complement or a slam, but perhaps OW should start training their players to play the ball forward in some cases (winger makes good run and passing lane is there, forward or mid encounters 1v1 on front half of field .....) OW players should not always choose the safe, easy pass .... it mostly takes the ball away from the goal they are trying to score on.

Possession soccer with no purpose, has no purpose. You hear a lot of high level coaches obsessed with keeping the ball and the players forget that at some point you need to score goals to win the game.

We had a coach like that - not OW - and it can be maddening. Score a few so you have a comfortable lead then pass the ball around all you want.

But its not. The game is about scoring goals.

It’s actually about stopping goals from being scored. The team that allows the least goals always wins

Um, I beg to differ...if both teams allow 0 goals-nobody wins.
