Next Coach has A license (Bait and Switch tactic) from local University. Gets Fired because he/she coaches college kids. Parents don't understand development. Parents go to P u s s ie DOC again! Parents then get on the board to control coaching contracts. Kids go to the top team ***. Parents still on the board. Club Failing. All kids from this team are in last place at older age groups. Parents politicking and paying DOC$. Kids have no skill, heart or desire because everything was given to them! NO I wasn't the original poster.

    Look familiar?

Again folks you can’t wake up at 16 and decide to now want to play soccer you will never make it. Some kids do want to work hard and play and it sucks to play with those who’s parents make them be there, or those who don’t take it seriously.

But its not just parents, dont forget the politics within the club and whose a*&* you need to kiss and cater to. Alot of talent left to be seen in many parts of Florida that no one even goes to see them, its a pay to play model here and we accept it.

Lets sign up to the most tournaments and win to get soccer points and make everyone see and mommy to post how well we did.

At U16 most players by that age that have been playing tell themselves all this for what? They just then enjoy soccer and leave it at that to the next generation to come,

And those private trainers telling all those false lies and all. Pay to Play model, give you motivation for they can keep making money and profiting.

i think you are looking at it as an adult. for most 15/16 year olds that are junkies, its not a cost/benefit thing, it is just what they do, what they enjoy doing, a friendship thing, a style thing, and it fits with their personality. they know they're not playing for real madrid.

Parents complain- go to DOC and top levels to get coach fired.
Parents complain- their little one not enough playing time or not playing as much, unless its rec, then deal with it, why called travel soccer.
Parents complain about positions - not rec maybe their little messi who scored in rec is better suited to play another position and allow them to excel and grow and learn.

Yet parents will still then complain about results which means nothing. U13 and below who is even watching and caring about a trophy or medals, before u13 or even u14 just care about development, tactical and technical aspects of the game, and if wins come, great and if they don't learn from them thats it!
If the player is not technically sound by u14 they are done atleast over in Europe..here in America they have until 25 to get it right😂

Seems like both parents and coaches are the problem. Parents who don't know what they are talking about trying to get coaches fires. And coaches who need help not getting any because they refuse to listen to the parents who do know what they are talking about.

What I will say is that this policy that US soccer has (when we do have a weak coaching base) of blocking out and ignoring ALL parental complaints makes youth soccer pointless.

lol, yea drinking is definitely required to bring that the delusion that the coaches might actually improve. There is almost no thought put into any of it. I even like our coach but he lets the kids make the same mistakes over and over again.

I hear this Ray guy at FKK is good. Any thoughts? I know he coaches quite a few teams. Really young to like U18.

Truth is development does not exist at any soccer club.
