If you've targeted the schools right, they will be interested after the showcase.

How can you tell if a HS sophomore's interest in your program will stand the test of two more years of HS? Some parents of early "commits" I know say they are not sure it is the right fit. Obviously....the kids are only 15 or 16 after sophomore year and even that is young to be mature enough to make a decision about college.

College Coaches, as a general rule, live their lives in two year increments. But even that’s difficult because you never really know how a kid is going to react/respond until they get in the program. Some just don’t work out, some surprise you.
In regard to recruiting, there’s waaay too many (and I really hate this word) “Pathways” for them to focus on just one series/cup/league/showcase.
As a general rule the recruit should show interest in the school first and should NEVER focus on just the soccer part. Communication with the coach allows him or her to get a look at them if they can.
As a general rule they have an idea who they’re looking at during the event and that is based on prior communication, needs, etc....
So they do not usually have a shopping list. They know who they are looking and why...but they are open minded while watching those kids to finding previously unknown talent.
Oh, and they do go to high school games

My Sons inbox is loaded with out of state schools with 50,000 a year tuition. Nothing like graduating 200 grand in the hole. Good thing he has been aggressive in state and Hoping to be signing in next month. The process sucks for soccer. It was so much easier for Football. Glad it is almost over...............

You sound ridiculous when you say “they” referring to college coaches, especially as it relates to the HS part.
It all depends on what types of schools and programs you are talking about. Yes you might see some coaches at some high school games but they will be from small local colleges or small d3 programs that need to recruit players just to fill rosters. These are the same coaches watching the u19 girls on the last day of a showcase when everyone else is gone, hoping to pick up that last non-committed girl.
I’m not judging in any way, but you’re not going to see any larger program coaches recruiting based on a HS game. Coaches aren’t just looking at what a player can do, but also who she can do it against. Running through 6 players and scoring a goal in HS doesn’t say anything about a player other than she knows how to run around cones.

My kid did not get accepted into FSU. Is there a chance she get in late by getting a late offer onto the soccer team?
