That bigger list someone posted is for top clubs, not individual teams. Not surprisingly it tends to skew towards the nation's bigger clubs and CFC is a big club in totality.

Cfc
If you have a kid in that age bracket you pretty
Much get to know every team over the years. That u14 team is definitely
In the top couple versus the rest of the premier clubs but if they are an supposed to be an aggregate all star team of all the top players In the state they clearly aren’t, That u14 team needs to replace more than half their team. There are much better players out there spread on to the smaller club teams still. So the migration hasn’t really happened yet. We could make an edp all star team from the ct edp teams and beat that team for sure. That u14 cfc team is basically 15 girls from an arsenal team that was never all that good in the first place. So relying on their in house development for that team isn’t working.

If these clubs could not recruit an aggregate talent at older ages they would suck forever. Stop rewarding them for poor development. Not to mention you will find so much convenience and save a fortune by staying at the smaller local club.
This is a national issue and not a CT one. Recruiting is done 95% at the ECNL and DA levels. Yes kids from low level club teams make to college soccer but its typically going to be at places like SCSU, St Joes etc. The smaller clubs simply lack the platform.
The notion that a small club can just add players and be competitive isn't grounded in reality. If you look at our state, the best players literally come from every corner of the state. In a given year, we have 25 Division 1 level players and there's no pattern in terms of where they are from. CFC United works because it's got the draw and track record for college. People are willing to commute for that. It's an imperfect system
