At practice tonight the coaches and girls were laughing about 5 clubs across the county that are going to return their poor players to HS soccer, having thought that they had escaped it.
I feel sorry for the Stars players. They had a taste of a better path and then had it taken away.
The Boston Breakers are now the undisputed premier club in MA. Well played. Stars NT players will all come to BBA, it’s just a question of when. Welcome to the Breakers Academy girls!

Not all kids play ECNL but if ECNL were to revert to school year, other leagues would follow.

Just because they were offered a team to play on doesn't mean everything was fine for those kids. Senior year who wants to combine with a team that they don't know well? Or suddenly play a new position 80% of the time to not disrupt the u18 players? The new team aspect sucks when under the best system, kids could play with their own team until graduation.

It works for us. Anyone in ECNl will be frozen out by USSF. NT players now only have one option in MA.

Ya makes sense. You sound like someone that has a finger on the pulse of the NT with no axe to grind.

No axe to grind, just a knife to sharpen after years of BS from Stars. They had it coming #abouttime

Not wrong! End of year 8th graders have no team. ‘Trapped’ is completely different

Well we don't hold a grudge at stars. Your kids are always welcome here anytime they want to move up in the world

The birth year mandate is a disaster for one third of all kids that have late year birthdates. Eigth grade is essentially a lost year and college recruiting gets messed up because they are constantly compared to older kids. If the ECNL drops the birth year mandate, virtually every prospect born after August 1 will depart the DA.

Unless you have a kid trapped in this situation you really don't understand what an impact it has. It also has made recruiting more challenging for players and college coaches. It's completely unnecessary for 99.8% of US players who aren't going to play at the pro or NT level.

USSF had already been subtly pressuring NT players to move over. As early as next year they most likely would have started picking only DA players for selection anyway - just to send a not very subtle message to players.

Do you live under a rock? 99.999999% won't be attending any NT camps.
