Don't forget LISC as well (as they should be). NE division in collapse. I wonder how the folks in Portland are spinning this one.

Originally posted by Unregistered View Postbut we only have just begun. GDA is expensive for the club. It's an albatross that clogs and mucks up prudent decisions. It's an ungangly onus to carry and you will see clubs begin to climb out from under GDA and go to the more profitable and alot less baggage models of ecnl/npl. It's as simple as that

In ECNL, they are both in NE.
It's in collapse when you realize what is left and compare it to ECNL in NE...there were only 8 teams in NE to begin with:
Stars
BBA
NYCFC
FC Fury
Oakwood
NYSC -Sky Blue
LISC
Empire
LISC and Empire are absolute disasters. NYSC was not very competitive either. So, as a league, you only have 3-4 decent teams in the division. You play each team 3x, so it's been ridiculous to spend so much $$ in travel to literally have 9-0 games.
The whole league should be smaller so hopefully USSF doesn't rush out to replace these clubs.
If you want ECNL then go to an ECNL club -- if you want GDA, then go to a GDA club.

No worse than when they were an NPL team. The big $$ is traveling to the showcases, but that’s true of ECNL as well.
