I'd be curious to know if any of the non-TA '05 boys that have come into TA training recently have done well.

Middle of the road for unsubsidized DA programs, actually.

I have a hard time believing that $1800 would remotely cover a trip to Spain, unless UP DX has a nice big sponsor.

Snohomish is making it work with 2,000 registers players. United PDX boats having 2,600 on the website. Members should be asking for subsidies for DA unless there are some big Director salaries in the picture.

Divided across 2000 players (ignoring that some of them are in DA), that's about $45 per player.
I'm assuming that Snohomish is getting funded elsewhere for this, rather than raising fees for its rec and non-DA classic programs. (OTOH, it may have less competition in the northern end of the Seattle area).

United PDX has sponsors!! They boats 61 competitive teams so about $2,000,000 in projected revenue on the competitive side alone in tuition. About 1350 of these boasted members are Rec..so volunteer parent coaches and profits to cover all the field fees and probably another $100k+ revenue there. Surely they could partially subsidize three jr. DA teams, unless salaries are exorbitant. It’s a non-profit *cough cough* so surely that information should be transparent to the 2600 members that all have to go out this year and buy new kits.. oh yeah and what’s the United PDX cut from that deal? Anyone think to ask?
