It’s more about the player than the patch. That said, the player needs to get seen somehow. Gda/Ecnl/Oysa all work. We know local travel club players that were recruited to UO and OSU the same as ecnl/gda players. Same goes for other D1, D2, D3, NAIA, etc. Most Oregon girls end up at northwest colleges and OYSA players get onto northwest college teams all the time. Playing out of state is very helpful to be seen if you’re dd wants to play out of state. In this case, ecnl/gda/gps type team has the edge. If they don’t play on a gda/ecnl or gps03/***c02/Salem01 type team that plays league games or lots of showcases out of state, then they need to do showcases with their team & id camps individually out of state. Having a high school or club coach with connections helps a lot too.

There are over 350 D1 schools alone. It’s extremely hard to get into a top D1 school but can be quite easy at the lower levels of D1. Same goes for D2 & D3. Every girl can find a spot if she wants.

Most parents have figured this out by U17 and that is why this 01 thread is fading away after a glorious run. Enjoy the few years left before they are all off to college.
