The cost of a CFC education

The cost for CFC 2012-2013 non-ECNL/regional teams.
How does this compare to other clubs?

There will a separate charge for uniform and accessories ($260+; the club does not pass on volume discounts they receive to their players, you pay list price for everything.)

There is an optional $75 injury insurance waiver. If your child has a season-ending injury that is the "direct result of participating in a CFC game or practice", you can get a pro-rated refund for the rest of the season if you pay for this waiver.

They want post-dated checks up-front for the future payments.

    Commit 9/15/12 11/1/12 1/1/12 2/1/13

    U9/U10 $425.00 $275.00 $250.00 $250.00

    U15+ $550.00 $425.00 $410.00 $410.00

CFC Offers a 10% discount for younger siblings. The 10% can be taken from the payment schedule above. Note the siblings name and team on each payment.

    Injury Waiver

Upon receiving a signed medical note from a Doctor indicating that the player has sustained a year ending injury and the injury was a direct result of participating in a CFC game or practice CFC will provide a refund on a pro-rate basis. This is available to only those players that have opted and paid for the injury waiver. For all other players there are no refunds for any reason.

Injury "waiver" this is the only club that I know of that asks for $$$ for a waiver if someone gets hurt! What a money grabbing club! The fees are the highest I have seen?

What branch is this for? This is definitely NOT what my Arsenal packets says. The Arsenal fees are different (higher), number of payments are different. And there is no "injury waiver" payment. I think this is just further proof that you can't think about CFC as a single club. Each branch is different.

How much does Yankee, Beachside,Everton and shoreline charge. I think you will find some of these clubs more expensive than CFC.

Beacside has their fees (excuse me....I meant tuition) in the tryout section of their site. I think for U12-14 it was $2600.

Maybe I am wrong....but I think the Premier Soccer is over-reaching. There is no longer an exploding growth rate of kids playing soccer. In the last 5 years....there is been a bigger shift of kids moving from Rec into travel.......and from travel into Premier (along with a loosening of the standards required to play premier).

A few years ago when a travel parent had to decide between $1800 a year at premier vs $600/year at travel, many still chose premier. However to with Premier now at $2600 vs $600 or $700.....the gap might have become too big.

The coaches tell you at the tryout that your child MUST have premier soccer be their sport priority.....over basketball and lacrosse....and then says to pay up $2600 per year. Why not just play Travel soccer, basketball, and Lacrosse....which can all be played for about $1,400 bombined......and then put the other $1000 into windoor indoor training (for soccer or lax). This way the kid gets to enjoy all their sports....and call their own shots on dates of conflict......and the parent gets an extra $200 of beer money.

Seriously....with flat growth rates of younger kids taking up soccer.....the "demand" is going to start to weaken.....and the Premier clubs are going to have to adjust their fees.

I think premier offers something more now. Fewer events are being canceled because of weather. These turf fields weren't part of premier in the old days. Indoor training too. Premier soccer is also training 3 times per week at many clubs. Can you compare it during the old price to today? Today a premier team has a hard time claiming that label without the big investment in these other areas.

Having been through the process with my older child I know how much of a money scam premier soccer is. 99% of kids playing premier won’t get a scholarship, 99% won’t play college soccer. People paying a fortune on premier soccer can do a lot better things with the money line family vacations and so on. My second child with play travel now as having soccer skills will get you nothing. People I’m telling you put that money to good use on things. Say your kid plays 6 yrs premier x $1800 a yr= $10,800 for 6yrs. It’s actually more than that if you add in travel, hotels ,meals, uniforms & equipment. Parents with the money spent on premier you could be putting it away for your kids college instead. Travel will still give the exercise they need plus you could put them in multi sports now since travel won’t be much out of pocket

                        Chief,

My kid just got an offer worth roughly 120,000 over four years.

Do me a favor and figure out how my “premier” spend worked out?

In full disclosure, Your numbers are pretty light in terms of the costs.

This does work out for some kids.

This thread is from 2012, chucklehead. Some douche nugget bumped it to further his terrorism agenda against Talking Soccer. Thank CFC Park dude for your troubles.
