Maybe the person likes the team, and the club, and doesn't want to move, or a crazy idea, wants to make it better for themself and everyone else. Who knows; but sticking your head in the sand does not seem to be a good long term course of action.
Staying there and continuing to fund the club keeps the status quo. Leaving starves the beast and will eventually force them to change their ways.

Courtney Boothe was the girls DoC and Robert Schretzmayer was the boys DoC. Now Courtney is gone and Robert is the DoC for both the girls and boys. It makes sense. They have so few teams left it doesn't make any sense to have separate DoC's.

Courtney is now an assistant coach of the Men's team at CUNY York College. Good for him.

And like the other poster said, there was no good reason for LIPS/Sachem to replace him because they don't have a lot of teams left to manage.

This has been the LIPS & Sachem board attitude to everyone and look where it's got them.

A couple of those clubs will gladly take in whole teams from Sachem and let the coaches run the team however they want. All it takes is a phone call.

No one wants to leave, just don’t want to be forced to have a LIPS coach.

Whether it's LIPS or some other training organization, clubs like sachem can't just have teams going rogue and doing whatever they want. There needs to be structure. The problem with sachem is that the board members have separate rules for teams their kids play on

For local town based teams/clubs........Teams and coaches should be allowed to do what they want....Board members should not get involved with how a team is managed. Its the head coaches responsibility....PERIOD!!!!!!!!!

I'd say accountability is far more important than structure for small and midsize town teams. As long as the coach is handling the business end of the team responsibly, he or she should largely be left alone to run their team how they see fit. And the board must be accountable as well, actually answering the coaches questions in a timely manner and being considerate of all the teams needs, not just the ones their own kids are on. Do that and have at least some monitoring of teams by the board members and that's how a town club should be run.

Hiring LIPS or anyone else to be high priced nanny's for mid and low level town teams is a sure way to piss off most of the coaches and parents as they see little or no return for their money.

The conclusion was the 2003 team is fielding.

Did they get their own trainer or end up with a mandated LIPS one?
