Honestly, if you don’t think that this is pretty freaking impressive, considering the level of teams in the top bracket of the EDP tournament, you are clueless and your opinion can not be taken seriously. Show us another club who had teams finish top 3 in all these age groups! I’d say these guys clearly know what they are doing. Happy to see that it looks like Long Island finally has a club that can develop players and consistently produce results. And all without it’s own faculty too....

Look like Barca’s 05’s were the only Barca team not in the top bracket. How many age groups did SUSA have in the top brackets??

2008- 0 ( Barca only lost 1 game in finals 2-3)
2007-1. Didn’t win a single game (Barça only lost one game finished in 3rd place)
2006–1. Didn't win a single game ( Barça only lost one game in the finals 1-2)
2005-1. Didn’t win a single game ( Barca Champions of Bronze division)
2004 ( EDP Memorial Day Classic)-0. ( Barca Champions of the Super Group)

Maybe the Barca 05’s need to step up in competition , but it’s pretty clear that the club isn’t “sandbagging” considering every other one if there teams played in the top bracket. Its also pretty clear that all of SUSA’s teams need to take two steps back.

ORLANDO — One of the world’s largest soccer clubs is looking to make its mark in Florida.

FC Barcelona announced Thursday it is establishing an academy in Orlando, its 50th youth academy across the world. The first public tryout for the academy will be held at Austin Tindall Regional Park in Kissimmee on June 8 for youths ages 5 to 18 years old.

“One of the main goals of Barça Academy has always been to give players around the world the opportunity to be exposed to our methodology, acquire our core values and soccer capacities,” Barça Academy director Carles Martin said in a statement. “We serve this purpose and are strongly committed to supporting their highest development during their whole pathway.”

Barca and Susa were playing some of the top teams in the nation (not just on LI). Barca showed that they can compete with them, while Susa cannot!

perhaps...but really just the "flavor of the month" much like rough riders, kk/atletico, susa was back in the days when they first started as well....there will be others after barca as history tends to repeat itself.

Barca will never be as good as teams 2 or 3 years ago when DA started at U14.
