    CFC united tryout

CFC held an open tryout for next year’s u14 team. As most know, they officially form their ECNL teams at u14.

How was the turnout? April break for many

CFC Arsenal did a very good job taking the U13 ECNL slot. As a branch team to be competitive is quite impressive. Team will only get better next year and the following.

I think this is CFC’s not so subtle message of “Enough with the spoiled Fairfield County kids.”

CFC runs the academy program for the high performers, so I am guessing the ECNL team has been pre-determined internally for a while with a few spots open for the non-CFC kids.

Certainly not the most well publicized, nor the most schedule friendly tryout for the big “cattle call” that sets the core team for the foreseeable future.

In the past they got about 80 trialists.....not sure this year given it is Spring Break for some. They added extra day for Monday.

Turnout was light....top Fairfield County players selecting NYSC GDA instead.

I have no idea about turnout, but I started getting a whole lot of tryout information after the first tryout. Seems like CFC is scrambling here.

They'll be selecting themselves back to CT soon. Why would nysc get more soft fairfield kids when they'll be able to take some world class ecnl players?
