Giving false hope for a treatment that hasn't been thoroughly tested for effectiveness and is potentially dangerous if not done correctly is criminal.
His approval ratings remain steadfast because of his base. But his base is concentrated in red states that don't have a lot of cases yet. Opinions should change but some will never admit they made a colossal mistake supporting him

especially in times of trouble.
Opinions wont change because what the left and the establishment has done for the last 4 years have cemented that support- they didnt make a mistake, they made a choice and they were getting what they chose . does someone have a cure that we dont know about? are we not acting to combat this Virus?
everyone in the WORLD is in this same boat- and his supporters know the Govt cant do all things for all people its time to help each other just as we do during hurricanes and tornadoes- stay safe, when this passes we can go back to arguing about stupid Shyte

He could/should have just said "There are many tests going on right not both for vaccines and to use existing medications to treat symptoms. Some show some promise but more data is needed so that we know the drugs are safe and effective. Scientists around the globe are all working tirelessly to help all of us." That's it.

How would you grade his response to the reporter when he was asked how to calm people's concerns? That was stellar. Compare that to multiple state governors who calmly explain facts, rationale for action yet not in a manner that freaks everyone out or isn't patting themselves on the back

And as for that Tax cut, look at the damage it has created to our Debt. The corporations took the dough and bought stock in their own company and further inflated the stock market.
The Average American tax payer didn’t see shyte, just a bunch of nonsense talk of getting more money back on their tax return. The average American saw an extra $300 BIG DEAL!!!!
Trump now is peddling back on this HUGE blunder and warned these Corporations they’ll be no money for buybacks in this new Stimulus package. In other words “ he got hoodwinked” last time but he knew that as the Market chugged along over inflated and in his favor.
I have no care for this overvalued Market and I’m glad it took a hit.

In times like this you get the people who have the science and knowledge around you and take their advice. This is no time to SHOWBOAT.... the country is scared Shytless because the President is a narcissistic, compulsive LIAR..... and promising drugs that will resolve and cure this epidemic is completely reckless and stupid, theres professionals standing beside him holding their heads down. He does this because he wants to somehow get credited for something that equals a Spider man rescue or Superman saving the world. He doesn't want anyone else to announce a drug for this aside from himself. A fvvvvvvking piece of shyte he is.

1) He has zero credibility. Lying about drugs or test kits is par for the course, but isn't what this country needs right now. Stop lying and/or making stuff up that isn't true. Don't latch on to s snippet of news without checking on facts, feasibility etc
2) He only cares about covering his own azz and making sure he gets re elected. He put/is still putting the economy ahead of protecting our national health.
3) His ego allows him to think he knows everything, understands it all and doesn't need to listen to experts. This isn't a time to "go with your gut" as he always does. It's a time to listen to experts - public health, scientists, doctors, the military (in case more troops need to be called in to help badly hit areas) and even economists (stop throwing the proverbial spaghetti at the wall and come up with plans that make sense to not only get us through things now but pull us out later as well).

Breaking News
Trump Administration considering opening Obamacare enrollment amid pandemic.
The Trump administration is considering opening up a special enrollment period for the Affordable Care Act to help uninsured Americans during the coronavirus crisis, Politico and The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday.
At least nine states that run their own health insurance exchanges have already reopened Obamacare enrollment to uninsured residents so they can obtain coverage now, according to the Journal.
But most states depend on the insurance marketplace run by the federal government. Open enrollment for states that use the federal exchange ended on Dec. 15. But a spokeswoman for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), which runs the Trump administration insurance marketplace, HealthCare.gov, said officials are now considering a new enrollment period.
“CMS is evaluating offering a Special Enrollment Period specifically designated for COVID-19,” she told the Journal. “We will continue to work with states and health plans around the country to assess what additional actions are necessary to ensure the American people have coverage for and access to the services they need during this time.”
The representative also encouraged people to check the HealthCare.gov site now to determine if they may already be able to enroll because of a change in circumstances, such as losing a job.
About 30 million people are currently uninsured, and that number is likely to skyrocket as businesses shut down.
Insurance lobby organizations America’s Health Insurance Plans and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association urged lawmakers in a letter Thursday to include insurance plan subsidies in upcoming coronavirus stimulus packages. It also encouraged a “one-time special enrollment period for the individual market — regardless of an individual’s current health status or whether they have coverage today.”
The letter added: “Given the risk posed by COVID-19, it is more important than ever for people to have health coverage. This will give people the opportunity to get the security and peace of mind that health care coverage provides.”
Ironically, GOP officials in 20 states — with the backing Donald Trump — are currently fighting in court to kill Obamacare. The Supreme Court will hear the case, likely next term.
The Affordable Care Act was passed ten years ago.

We will overcome this crisis, but the world as you know it is forever changed. Don't worry, you still won't have a lot of friends, your wife will still be a pig and you won't be in the 1%. Those things won't change. However, other things will. Trump was right about a few things. We need to be focused on America first. Shore up our borders. His error was letting the narrative be the wall. The Wall is not a physical barrier, but one we need to create to protect the American way. Screening of entrants (not just for criminals and terrorists), but for medical issues. We need to own our supply chain for critical components. Bring them back to the US and our partners in Canada and Mexico. This was enabled by the successful renegotiate of NAFTA.
The wealth inequality problem is the next one that needs to be worked on. It unfortunately is going to get much worse. One, just because of the compounding effect. Two, as a result of Corona. The fed is pouring much needed liquidity into the market place. This will kick off another great bull run for equities and for those that will lever up to take advantage of the second great buying opportunity assets in my lifetime. Those that are too afraid or unable to participate will fall further behind.
I am glad I can legally own a gun. I have bought hundreds of rounds to make sure I am prepared for the results of the massive unemployment and financial despair we will see from this pandemic. I don't think a liberal like you can honestly comprehend just how bad it is going to get. I am thankful that I have a job that will continue to pay me and that I have a significant cash cushion to help me manage through the carnage and play offense when the time is right.
God Bless you all.....prepare yourselves, you have been warned
