Couldn't agree more with the OP.....although it does soound extremely chovanist. I personally can't stand watching my daughter's team play, but my husband insists that she needs to do the sport he loves.

Title IX is part of American Law and American Culture.

Title IX is about gender equality in sports. If you have an issue with it,
taking it up with the US Congress or with the US Supreme Court.

The First Amendment is also part of American Law and "American Culture." It's about Freedom of Speech. I imagine you've heard of the concept at some point. You just don't like it when others say thing you don't like such as women's soccer is unwatchable. If you have a problem with that, you'll have to take it up with both the US Congress and the States since it'll take both bodies for you to do away with that right.

Saying that women's soccer is tough to watch has NOTHING to do with gender equality or keeping women down. It's about the relative quality of the soccer. If you were watching Germany's first game, Julie commented during it that when she was with the national team they used to scrimmage local club boys U16/17 teams for the "faster" speed of play to help the WNT.

This tells us that the approximate level of play for the USWNT (the absolute top level of women's soccer) is that of a good boys U16 or U17 club team!!! How many boys U16 / U17 games do you go watch when you don't have a relative or friend playing? If you're being honest, it's zero. Why? Because it's generally poor soccer and unless you're related to a player it's a waste of time watching. But that's the level of the USWNT.

So when people say that watching women's soccer is tough, it has nothing to do with gender equality, rather an understanding of the game. You're way off base attacking anyone as a women-hater who dislikes women's soccer.
