Originally posted by Unregistered View PostYes. The boys DA at FC Delco are all that matters to FC Delco. Girls ECNL/NPL and non boys DA are an after thought. The club was dead 7 years ago, they got a life line, blew it, and now will be the B-teams for the Union DA, and continue to play for nothing, other than a chance to play D-III college soccer. Delco are a total joke.

Forfeits don’t happen in the ECNL, all games must be played or you get booted from the league, even if you have to bring younger players up or use NPL kids to fill out game day rosters. Clubs also can’t bail on NPL games because they are using those NPL players to keep the ECNL going. Once a club falls into a pattern of having to move kids around to survive, it becomes a path to failure. FC Delco do not have enough kids to support ECNL/NPL, and they certainly don’t have the talent to support anything of quality, which causes kids to leave. The only existing club in Eastern Pennsylvania that could support an ECNL program to replace FC Delco would be HMMS. No other club in EPA have the numbers to support a quality ECNL/NPL program. In the end is it worth it? Ukies and Lower Merion are too small for ECNL/NPL. FC Bucks are the only Philly area club that can support ECNL/NPL, but the aren’t doing it well.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostRight now FC Delco don't have enough kids for most of the ECNL RL teams. (former NPL). Most teams don't even have 15 kids, some don't even have enough to field a team. They also have the same problem for their ECNL teams which then brings them back to having to use kids from different teams to field enough for the ECNL teams so they don't forfeit games. As a club, they will be lucky to finish the 2019-20 season.
