Smart move by Timbers to gather all the easy money through Peregine. The one to blame is the OYSA person who signed that contract.

The contract is with OYSA to run the league and ODP.

The alliance clubs have nothing to do with the OYSA Timbers/Thorns League. Evidence of this is the participation of several alliance teams in the US DA or club DA. The result was two fold. One, it removed the top boys teams from the Timbers/Thorns leagues and second and most importantly it is lost revenue.

The other example is Eastside's involvement in the NPL. For whatever reason they joined this league along with playing OYSA.

Lasting, regarding the patch. This very forum topic is an example. When Eastside branded its girls teams the Thorns and went with Nike they could not put the Timbers Alliance patch on the uniforms.

While the Timbers have a contract with OYSA to run the Timbers/Thorns league your club or any other club is not under contract to participate. OYSA sanctions many leagues around the state. Stop blaming someone else for your failure.

OYSA should be dissolved, for incompetence.

Time to clean up their stinky mess.

        A vote of no confidence.

It has worked out very well for the Timbers.

Why is this OYSA fault. They sanction the league. They also sanction many leagues. If you don't like the league join another. You don't even have to play in OYSA

You can't be this dense. They signed away their entire state memberships: ODP, RTC, League & cup revenues and had it become a direct deposit to the Timbers.
It's an incompetent and thoughtless business move by a non profit OYSA BOD created to serve its membership not the Timbers. Can't blame the Timbers they are a for profit business that could care less about the OYSA members pocketbooks as long as they get paid.
Again like another poster mentioned dissolve the OYSA and start over.

Simple fix for this level of pure incompetence.

Don't blame OYSA. Yes the Timbers bid on ODP and RTC and OYSA gave them the bid. Yes the Timbers operate a league but anyone can operate a league in OYSA. The clubs could form another OPC and create a league under OYSA. Plus there is the US Club league operating in the PacNW. Just join one or create a different league if you don't like the Timbers/Thorns.

Easier if the OYSA dissolves and a new Oregon USYS affiliate is created. Timbers are out of the picture this way, USYS leagues & cups are in play + ODP. Running away to the US Club option is not an option for anyone with a half a brain, it's how this whole mess started. Only 2 clubs are stupid enough to do anything with US Club these days. I love the Timbers!! They are slick smart it's the OYSA that is incompetent and needs to be reborn without all the strings attached to 3rd party profiteers that have nothing to do with the a USYS non profit state association. Except in modern day Oregon.

Of the same ilk as Oregon's local neighborhood clubs? yes : Yakima Crossfire (RCL).

The OYSA people who signed the Timbers deal are long gone. The timbers people are still around making the money. OYSA should go away and a new affiliate started that doesn't answer to (or pay) Timbers.

As a non-profit OYSA should show their members the contract.

For not showing the contract to it's members, that's enough for them to dissolve.

                            CrossFire Oregon

I wonder what the purpose is of remaining CrossFire Oregon is? Is it to just upstream money to CrossFire premier? I don't think the name does much for them.

Just another pop up club name like: ‘United’, ‘ADF’, ‘GPS’, ‘Bara’, ‘Nich’ etc...

                              Nobody cares except the ‘operators’.

In this situation, 3 local clubs were blended about 7 years ago-SSC, LOSC & WUSC at specifically the older ages (HS). They called themselves OSSA then out of thin air a year or two later they re-branded as ‘CrossFire Oregon’. Historically speaking, the WUSC club couldn’t form HS aged teams, SSC was hit and miss, LOSC actually held their own for decades in the HS ages. I digress....Present day Crossfire Oregon lost SSC and kept LOSC & WUSC (Lake Oswego, West Linn & Wilsonville) consisting mainly of WL/LO/WIL classic level players at the older ages.

Recently, the US SOCCER short lived ‘little Portland Metro boys DA league’ (u12, u13 & u14) also included the (LOSC & WUSC club blend) they chose to use the ‘Crossfire’ label.

How about ‘LO/WLW’ or just stick with Crossfire Oregon?

It’s LOSC and WUSC combined, that’s what it is.

Isn’t CrossFire Premier DA free for boys and girls? Just like timbers take money from other clubs to subsidize their DA? Ironic that CrossFire oregon is subsidizing somebody else’s DA and complaining about the timbers doing the same.

                                What has soccer come to?
