If you look at many of the women rosters in Florida, they are full of foreign players. What's the deal? Are foreign players THAT much better?

The college is steadily improving academically and on the soccer side, DSB has really whipped that program into shape. They are ranked in the Top 25 in the country right now. They do have some international players rostered but the majority are from the U.S. When you roll in Prepaid and Bright Futures it's a great value.

many D-I programs for women that the talent level is watered down. D-II is more flexible in terms of being able to get internationals and there isn’t much quality left over after the D-I programs are done recruiting.

No football games.
Its extremely rare that a high level women's soccer program will allow their players to attend football games during the season. Would you let your players stroll around a college football game all day before a Sunday contest if you were the coach? Tailgates/drinking/craziness etc?
If your daughter wants the college big game "experience" she needs to attend a school that has a high level "off season" team like basketball etc.
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostI must agree with this post. Our daughter likes the soccer program and coaches. Like the poster stated a good academic/athletic balance. Nice campus too. However she didn't like the fact that academically it isn't as high as some of the other state and private schools. She also wanted a school with a football team. She's been to several college football games and wants that as part of her college experience.

Due to limited boys NCAA scholarship opportunities don't eliminate NAIA schools. There are several top quality schools in Florida that play D2 schedules and have PLENTY of money to go around as they do not abide by the NCAA format. If your son is better suited for small campus life then these schools are great options to get a great education and play some quality soccer that doesn't become a full time job. It is very common to receive 50-75% of your tuition for a good scholar athlete. Add in your Florida Resident ($3500) Pell, bright futures and any other scholarships and you can very well be close to even, trust me!

UCF program very good also they are also in the top 25 and played a great no conference schedule at beginning of year. FAU is having a great year if they beat North Texas will win conference. FGCU very good every year their coach is wonderful they should win conference and get NCAA bid. FIU is not very good they have lost every game and have 1 tie.Thy are in same conference as FAU. Surprise is Florida this year they are down and have lost many games. Miami is up and down play in tough conference. FSU always good. Great division 2 program Rollins.
