I'm not sure how long you have been on this planet, but we have always being minnows in this sport compared to the rest of the World.

This is America: we created these sports for our Males- American Football, Baseball and Basketball. The rest of the world tends to be really bad compared to us in those sports.

Soccer is not an American sport of interest to our male athletes.

Conversely girls straight out of the AYSO & American HS's were winning World Cups back in 1991 since the rest of the world had no interest in watching women even letting them play soccer. For god sake just this last month women is the middle east were finally allowed to WATCH in person the Iranian Men's team play. Forget about the chance to play.

    American myopia. Never changes.

If you measured how good the american's were based on the interest in playing the sport professionally, we are killing it globally.

Lmao at the loser trying to make being bad at soccer a sign of masculinity. Wonder if he cries in his lite beer about the sudden influx of foreigners into the NBA.

You can have those other sports, chief. They don't matter to soccer, and vice versa. No one is dying to put Phil Foden in pads, so find another way to justify your manhood.

Probably their best athletes gravitate to Soccer.

But most Canucks sporting type opt for a sport that reflects their Artic region (Hockey) and Indian heritage (Lacrosse).

Different countries have different love of sports.

USA isn't a 'soccer' lovin nation. So be it.

MLB Baseball, NBA Basketball & American Football NFL don't see many Canadians on rosters but Soccer has 2 teams in the MLS. You have a point.

Being Bad a Soccer in the states is a given (compared to the soccer playing countries), it's a non-starter discussion. Males in this country that are sporting types don't stick with it (soccer) instead they gravitate to the sports we rule and invented, where they can get scholarships and paid as pros.

Over 70% of the NBA is from the USA. The foreigners are great for the NBA they open up spots for the Americans to come play in the countries they left. USA has game in Bball domestically and globally.

Not so in Soccer, Americans barely make a living wage in the sport domestically. NBA american ballers sign max deals approaching 150 million $$$. This isn't even a discussion.

Not sure how this is tied to your masculinity. So be it.

Just a data point to chew on nearly 70% of the 1st team regulars/starters in today's mls are not American born. The on field product should be much better with that many foreigners. Our league's best teams still are fodder to mX teams in any competition. Blowouts are the norm.

The reigning NBA champs are a Canadian club. That said, there's only one Canadian player on that roster.

Best Canadian player to play in the NBA? Probably Steve Nash.

International MLS players are largely ones that couldn't make it abroad or are about to retire. Then you have those crack MLS coaches 😆

Quebec is still part of Canada so I think that makes 3 teams.

This is no longer the problem. The problem is coaching.
