Not from 2006 age group, yes there are some decent players but they have become stagnant and seem uninterested and simply going through the motions at practices and games.

Totally disagree. 06 ecnl has many very good players.

But not looking to argue with you. Not into bashing 13 year olds.

Didn't see the previous post as bashing, when you have a checked out coach the players will follow and become complacent.

          Entitlement

It would be wonderful if a new coach came in and cleaned house of all of the entitlement circling around on this team. You have entitled parents, who think it is ok to helicopter in and not subject their kids to competition. You have entitled players, who feel they dont need to work hard because they know they cannot be cut because of who their parents are, who they are friends with, and because of the BRD. You have an entitled BB, who thinks his desire to put his thumb on the scale for his own kid trumps the desires of everyone else in the entire 2006 age group. And you have an entitled RF, who feels he can just take our money and do as little as possible.

So basically I have to weigh whether the competition and exposure, travel and cost of ECNL at bucks out weighs possibly better training and development but with less travel and money at a non ECNL club. Tough decisions. Thanks!

                  Next Year

People don't want to admit it, but there is a good chance this team folds, unless there are some dramatic changes made and announced soon. The roster is currently at 15 - 16 if you add the original BRD'er who got hut and never got a chance to play. It is very unlikely there will be a decent turn out of girls from other clubs at tryouts due to this teams very poor reputation locally.

Maybe BB convinces TR from PSC to come since he has been putting the hard sell on her all winter. If she comes, and this is still a big if, the roster would up to 17.

Problem is, there are at least 4 girls choosing to not come back - perhaps 6. This would bring the roster down to between 11 and 13 players. Which is not enough to maintain a real roster.

So where will the other players come from to fill out the roster. The natural place to look would be the RL team. Problem with the RL team is that the rumor is that they too are likely losing many of their top players. Also, many of the RL players have played for RF and BB before and want nothing to do with them. There is also the trashing of the RL team by ECNL parents on this thread which I am sure has left a poor taste in their mouths.

Is it possible that BB is able to go deep into the RL roster and find a few girls who are willing to be suckered into joining the ECNL team to fill out the roster - it is possible, but those parents are also going to demand that their kids get PT, which means if the team does survive, it is going to be a much much weaker team.

RL parents have no leg to stand on to demand anything .... No parent should have that ability .... Alas the BRD. That said, any mid-tier RL player that accepts a promotion has to know that they are just a practice cone with checks. Their playing status will go from solid starter to 10-15 minutes a half off of the bench. It's not worth it. This parent and players should shop hard for another club effective immediately. Once ECNL, always ECNL ..... Whether they deserve it or not .... Remember, it's youth soccer which is most definitely a business first and foremost ... To the tune of billions of dollars each year. Parents would be wise to stop the romantic views of it and start looking at it from a business perspective ..... As if you were car shopping. Find the one that makes the most sense at a reasonable price point.

Agreed. Which is why the ECNL team is in deep trouble.

All very true! If the club is goin to make any changes they need to act quickly. Maybe after the town hall and survey results are in.

TS is making way to much sense this morning. Agree 100% with this post.

Such TS crap like usual. Suckers may believe this but that’s it. No one is leaving the Ecnl and team isn’t folding. If a player or two is needed they will look outside the club to pick up players during tryouts not the RL.

Having older daughters that played high level USYS and then, ECNL on very good teams, I can tell you that you better go into an ECNL season with 19 players (two gk's) on the roster. It is 100% certain that you will have a min of 2 players that pick-up season ending ACL issues. Then factor in girls that just don't want to play anymore, which always happens around junior year of high school, and you end up with low numbers. This happens on even the best teams and the current FC Bucks teams are some of the worst in the entire league. RF and BB are not good for the future of the 06 team and if changes don't happen, you are spending a lot of money to travel to Boston to get killed by Stars, and doing it with only 11 or so kids that decide to show up. Don't believe me, ask parents of the current older girls teams how travel has been the past few years. The FSA/CFC trip was one to remember. It is a lot of money to spend.
