Just noticed that NYCFC is advertising on botn ... oh my God - noooooo!

Btw, nycfc beat nysc 11:0 last week ... noticed the nycfc goalie is suspended. What is that all about ... no historical cautions and yet suspended?

It's free and a MLS club. Some non MLS GDA clubs - which is almost all - aren't necessarily drawing the talent. There's going to be even bigger gaps than you see in BDA

Is NYCFC a funded girl's Academy for all the players?

Was checking out a friend's son's game and noticed that NYCFC had a 'guest' player on their roster and also that the guest was born in 2002 even though the team was U15 and every other player was 2003. I'm assuming the 'guest' thing is something to allow for when players are moving between teams but it's odd that they'd allow an over-age player to play. Any insight on this?

I don't know if it officially started but there was talk that DA was going to allow 1-2 "small and less developed" players to play down when a club deems it appropriate. Some small kids have potential but are late growers and throwing them in to an older group with much bigger players isn't going to do them any favors. Also there are no "guest" players per say in DA but you can have developmental players. There's a whole set of regs for them

This player is on the short side so that is probably the circumstance.

Interesting take. Perhaps an other reason for the Hartford game

There is no way an older kid should be able to play down because of his size .... Such BS
