With Sky Blue FC moving to Red Bull Arena this upcoming season is it only a matter of time before Red Bull GmbH looks to acquire the club from the Murphy Family and builds out a proper girls DA program behind it?

Not to mention .... why would NYRB want to give any more power to USSF who does nothing for them but spend their money?! In 2 years. they will have nothing to do with USSF (and neither will any other MLS teams).
No need to throw politics into it either.

The whole RBDS thing for girls is just a money grab. If they actually had a women’s pro team (which they never will) then maybe it would be something. Either way spend your $ and time whichever way you want....

With this said, it will never be MLS, but it could be very successful.

Some teams saw an slight uptick in attendance after the WC, and the Olympics next year may put a few more butts in seats in cities where the leading stars play. But day in and out women's soccer just isn't a regular draw. Lifetime dropped their deal to broadcast games.

I would rather take her once a year to a local D1 women's game (couldn't care less which one). Sorry, without loyal fan backing (especially from women), no women's pro leagues can ever be profitable .... let alone enticing from a monetary perspective for the average player that can play at that level. You can not make or buy that loyalty either .... it has to start at some level (like NCAA) and then boil up. Will never happen ... my wife will never ever buy a ticket to any game ... even for my daughters .... because she ain't taking them ... especially if it is raining or cold.
