The Blazers will once again win maple, because there is no competition, no more Cosmos, the Hammers lost 3 starters from last year, and NEFC,lost some kids. How you should rate the Blazers is how well they do against the teams they play in the big tournaments. The kids that left were part of a special team that won the Maps tournament and also won the DEL SOL tournament in Phoenix, Arizona, they where all starters that contributed heavily to those tournaments. They all proved that they could play with the best in the country. This new Blazers team has yet to prove anything, except the fact that the parents can trash talk. Until you can win Maps again and Arizona, you need to get a reality check.Four starters remain, the rest of them were subs, who are now starters along with the five players who came over from Cosmos. DC has some time to invite some guest players for those high ranked tournaments, but this existing unit has proved nothing. The Kids that moved on where all fantastic players, they where proven players. They moved on to get better, tougher competition on a regular basis that only the NPL academy league could offer. DC is a very good Coach who treated everyone fairly. He has his work cut out for him with this group, to repeat the year that he just had. Everyone needs to play soccer and do there talking on the field. Good luck to all.

That said, NEFC will challenge this team and other Maple teams will give them tough games this fall. These are still 12 and 13 year old boys so sometimes things just don't click.
