I don't think WFF is quite as bad as you do on the boys side. They still have volume and a few good teams here and there. And somehow (and I have no idea how) a DA program. It is a salvageable club if they can right the ship a little. So much urban sprawl in Brandon in need of a soccer program that it won't die unless another club emerges in their footprint.

Right now TBU is larger than CC & WFF combined.
As long as the CC hang on to the full DA, my guess is that they will continue the status quo b/c the powers that be like the $$ & control. The girls side at CC is almost nonexistent.
Regarding WFF, if they lose GDA after this year (which most people anticipate they will), this club is truly in the frozen tundra of youth soccer. Their boys side is like CC on the girls side, nonexistent.
After this year, it is CC (b/c of DA), TBU & Florida Premier as the only clubs worth anything in the Bay Area for older kids (14 & up).

      Meeting notes:

We want Da teams at Clearwater. No we want da teams at TBU. No deal.

TBU is the only club with the sophistication to pull this off.

CC does not need to merge they do need to change a few things .

1- They need an actual board That will hold people accountable
2- They need to get rid of some deadweight that are just collecting high paychecks and doing very little. JD, KS ,EL and MP
3- promote RL to club director
4- hire a high profile DOC for DA

That’s more than changing a few things - that’s a complete overhaul. Or just merge with TBU - they already have all that sorted out.

If TBU is able to write nest egg retirement checks to a few of the Chargers brass this could happen, but that's the only way this happens.

Yes. I think they'd need a few 5 year consulting contracts for the CC folks to sale off into the sunset getting paid. Otherwise, no way this goes anywhere.

What does CC have that TBU wants or needs? CC has no girls program. TBU has the DA. Don’t say the full DA because we all know that u19 non-mls DA soccer is a joke. CC has city fields and the city only likes softball and hates soccer. Rec program numbers are down because of the rec card fee, etc.

                    they have their existence.

For lack of a better term.

They are an option for boys that get fed up with something at TBU to bail and still play for a recognizable club.... take away the options and "un-dilute" the player pool. I actually like the idea, but I dont think it will happen.
