Ok, clearly, you have a comprehension issue, lol. My original point was that most Select families can afford to throw away 5 grand if they want to. They do it because their kid loves it. Their hard earned money, their choice what they spend it on.

      3. have excellent athletic genes
      4. have a girl who lives for soccer

Select may be a good option for you up to u14. If you’re kid is truly one one of the best by that time, take her to NEFC or Stars and see if they make the top team.
Why only until U14? Select produces some of the best talent in the country as evidenced by the players they have playing at the national level. Why would you leave Select and go to another club at U14?

We've been with select for more than a few years, (not top team player), & tuition is comparable with other "big" clubs, our player has received other club offers. The axe to grind guy's tuition quote that graces these threads every few weeks certainly do not pertain to us or the majority of select clientele we are sure. The assumption in these threads is that the high tuition quotes are the norm for all select players. This is not the case. However, top team players most certainly pay more than lower level players.

lol "they do it because their kid loves it" OR their rich parents are forcing them to select because it's a status symbol for the parents? They get to hobknob with other Range rover driving parent's from the south shore. This is not about what the kids want!

Me think it's the 2nd thing for the majority of kids. If we aren't talking select's top team-1 team per age group that's all select cares about- does it really matter for the majority of girls that they play at select? Get with the program dude!!

Jealous much, lol. Your irrational disdain is on full display. Are you implying that wealthy parents don't care about their kids wants and needs? I would argue that, for most of them, their desire to provide for their family is what prompts them to work so hard for the advantages they have. Maybe you should work harder and then you won't be so unhappy with your lot in life.

It is obvious that you are manically against Select for whatever reason. Take a deep breath. It is going to be ok. And, most importantly, know that you don't have to play there.

Are you ready for this one? Get this! ALL Soccer Clubs are a business! They are all in it to make money, EVERY single one. Select charges what they charge because they can and obviously, people are happy enough with their product that they continue to pay it. End of story.......

Thing is with this rant, is it can be applied to any soccer level above a $50 rec league. Those in the rec league think the town travel is a waste of time and money. Those is town travel think the regionally based clubs are a waste of time and money. Those in the Regionally based clubs think the bigger clubs are a waste of time and money. Those in those clubs think the larger teams in the gourmet leagues are a waste of time and money.

Everyone sets a price as to what they perceive the value is, and act accordingly. Some think $100 is too much, some think $5000 is too much. It's an arbitrary line set by individual families and then "some" come on here just to bitch about those that go over that line. Also, others come on here to mock those who come in under that line.

                  Except you really aren't glad.

fun fact: Humans don't rant about things that pose no threat. What is it you fear Select is going to take from you?

to be fair, the poor always find the rich distasteful.
Some are actually obnoxious, but most are very nice. They're not aloof, they just don't notice you

You people! $5000/yr is a small price to pay select when they are able to get your daughter a full 4 year ride to college for soccer.

Hmm... if select and scorpions merge one can wonder how much LL will charge the top teams now that they would be in ECNL. $6000 year do i hear $6500???

                              2021-2022 GA offers...another price increase...$4,500...speechless...

SSS..... people are sooooo disappointed in you!! You did not initially make the $5000 year tuition. Above is from another post. A $4500 fee is still the most expensive in the state but select must have known that being the only $5000 year club would not work.

Is that the price ($4500.00) for players who opt to play high school soccer in the fall?
