Seems like the landscape of soccer is changing in NY region. Some EDP teams are leaving for NYCSL. Is NYCSL slowly taking over EDP? NYCSL is expanding and seem more dynamic now. Metro has some strong teams in it now and NPL is very strong. Any thoughts?

NYCSL is glorified rec ball. The only reason it exists is because LIJSL wouldn't allow most of those teams to play in their league. EDP is much better competition, better established and has far greater reach than NYCSL will ever dream about having.

Princeton SA is leaving NYCSL and joining EDP.

EDP runs 14+ flights per age group and is growing like a weed. NYCSL team count went down for the first time last year. One team or club switching should not lead to such a blanket statement.

EDP is opening an office on LI this year. It's been said here before and even LM posted it before having to take it down. I have heard EDP plans on bidding for the NY Cup starting 2018/19.

All that matters to parents is winning games. EDP rewards this and will grow. It you care how the games are won, go another country.

Metro league is a trick to get clubs to commit more teams to NYCSL. They are way down in numbers from their peak of a couple years ago.
