Latest GFA list now has 70 clubs not the 74 from before. EM now listed not NYCFC yes the EM link to the website still shows no GDA info. Lots of travel

Part of the GDA hoopla was it's claim that it was going to somehow control costs. They of course did absolutely nothing to control costs. Combine that with the major conflict with High School ball and the travel requirements and you have a recipe for failure. The only way they are going to knock down ECNL is to somehow block aspiring ECNL players from the National Teams and that isn't going to happen.

Some of those regions are terrible for travel - the poor Frontier bastards probably have to fly to a lot of games. It's a 12 hour drive (straight through, no stops or traffic) between Denver and Dallas and 15 Houston to Denver. Or Midwest 10 hours Minneapolis to Detroit. NE teams are very lucky they've got the easiest grouping relative to others but add in NE traffic and it's some very long weekends in the car.
