Coach did not quit, he was forced to resign. He got caught doing things he shouldn't be doing and instead of the school taking a stand and saying he was let go, they announced he stepped down. What a joke.

Was a bad hire from the start, what are they waiting for to hire a new head coach ? still a good school with good athletic facilities.

He was a bad hire and not sure why he was ever given head coach position. Apparently Marist did offer this new coaching position to one applicant who turned it down. I am guessing they are having trouble filling it and probably don't need another bad hire. Would not look good for AD.

Marist isn't the only school having trouble hiring a new head coach, fairfield is still open and after a national search Uconn announced the hiring of their current assit coach today. sounds like its plan B at this time..

Why do say UCONN hire was plan B. She was the target the whole time

Len stepped down over 2 months ago, UCONN reached out to many coaches, they got no bites and went with MR. If she was their top candidate they would have announced the hire after a few weeks and not 2 months.

                        1. Because they had to do a national search to justify her getting the job. You just can't give it to her withi. A few weeks because she was an assistant

                        2. they swung for the fence with the Princeton coach and didn't get SD. Which most thought they wouldn't

                        3. Most people in the know knew it was her job

Several coaches turned it down, including the Princeton coach who has strong CT ties. Normally a bigger D1 program like UCONN would get a HC from a lower level D1 program or top D3, not an assistant coach. She was very involved with recruiting so next year there will be no excuses about the talent just the actual coaching.

Everyone knew it was her job, players wanted her and she earned it, but the AD went out looking for what he thought was a better option. SD from Princeton , KM from Brown and MR from Rutgers but none wanted it. Mags is a good hire and should have been the first choice from the start instead of dragging this on for 2 months.

Any updates on these coaches. I would think at this point the school would know who their coach is going to be.
