Coaches are only part of it. The club being too close to another GDA program is the other part of it. I suspect Weston and Boca were chosen for a very definite reason - parents with money.

There may be a few players that are below the 2.0 scale, but I bet that is the exception and not the rule. Youth soccer is predominantly an upper middle income to wealthy family sport, especially on the girl's side. Very few of those families would allow their children to have substandard grades AND continue to play a sport. Although there are some extremely disconnected parents out there.
