There is nothing keeping any player from going to tryouts. Also, there is nothing to keep BU from scouting players at ANY club during the year. Invites to play on the DA and GDA are not considered poaching.

If true, this is the final nail in the coffin for BU. They have run out of options to keep alive.

If BS, excellent effort on the OP to get the conversation started.

    I am leaning towards BS.

Team Boca and Boca United are all that is really needed for things to work. Build it the right way in Boca and the players will come. Both clubs lack at this point, but together with better leadership it would be a nice situation for the kids in the area. I doubt we will see it happen anytime soon, but it would be what is best for Boca.

I seriously doubt there is a meeting. Ee can barely put together a schedule of field space for the teams. This kind of coordination requires a lot of thought and effort. That is definitely not what bu does.

BK daddy club was going nowhere, playing worthless FYSA tournaments and chasing GotSoccer points. BK being squeezed by 4 DAs (Wellington, Palm Beach United, Surf, Boca United) around them. Asaf is thinking down the road where the allegiance makes BK a feeder club, he had no other choice.

Team Boca would benefit more by obtaining an ECNL franchise. The DA and GDA is too restrictive for their type of management. Most players are also big HS players.

Unless BK is getting a referral fee from BU for those players, he is only shuffling off the best talent. Then what is BK left with? A travel rec program, which can still be profitable (ie Team Boca, Parkland, CSU, etc), but joining with BU does not solve their problem.

Leaving to chase China lead metals so that little messi feels better and daddy can brag on Monday how little Johnny is the next messi and show tournament metals that means nothing in the soccer world....??? BK parents go home and chase those gotsoccer points. Clueless parents to leave a platform to showcase their kids to now play against local tournaments. Small minds think small.

Yeah, stupid parents. Ridiculous for them to worry about their children's happiness or love of a sport. They should make their kids stay miserable at a poorly run club with terrible coaches and embarrassing results. Don't they know that the 0.01% chance of them going pro is the only way daddy is going to retire? Selfish brats only thinking of themselves. The only way to success in life is through unnecessary sacrifice and constant, brutal pain.

Works in Texas and California shared club profits. It allows travel clubs to focus on travel players and refer their better players for DA. Not all players can be DA.
