That could get four teams to a lot of away games.

You're wrong about that, just like you're wrong about the Thornz Asylum being a good soccer program. But don't let the facts get in your way. Never have before, have they?

So how many looks did your kid get by the national team? This kid not only got a look, she got her first start and first win. Your bitterness and jealousy is sad and embarrassing. I'm not an academy parent and don't even know this girl but it's a great accomplishment for an Oregon player and she should be congratulated.

Ditto! That poster is a troll or bitter loser. Top keepers are actually much rarer than top field players. This particular keeper from Eugene is amazing and should be applauded big time for being one of Oregon's true unicorns that got a USYNT cap!

Hopefully they don't have to pay for the crack staff of "administrators" in timbers branded sweatpants to travel and take up space. A quarter of a million dollars is a lot but if it is just for the kids travel that is pretty normal.

                    That’s funny!

Do They charge the program for lights, admin staff, janitors, company cars, overhead, payroll of some pro thorns players, up charge for donated uniforms?

                    Actual travel costs: $200,000.
Markups, add-ones, surcharges, paper supplies for restrooms etc: $700,000.

                    Good for a laugh.

They someone to travel with to keep stats during games and probably do Taco Bell runs for snacks.

                        22 x 4 x $2,000 = $180,000 fees
                        45 x 4 x $150 = $37,000 tryout fees

That’s only $217,000.00 paid by parents not quarter million.

                          70 paying players x $2000= $140,000
                          Tryout fee= &25,000

Cost of three show cases, cost of six away weekends, coaching and staff salary, futsal/field rental fees, uniforms/training gear, weight /SAQ training fees, cost of video taping every game.
                          A lot more than $200,000

                            Three showcases $900 x 4 x 16 players = $57,000
                            Six travel weekends $500 x 4 x 16 players = $32,000

Travel costs alone are about $100,000 and they only collect about a quarter million from parents so it's not like they are getting rich on the program.

They charge for uniforms? What is the rental charge to parents for field use? They don't own the fields? What are all these other fees? Do they charge for timbers admin staff? That's a lot of add-on costs.
