The seven little DAs are hoping one of them will get magically selected to continue the program on at the u15 single birth year. Who should it be? What DA has done the best job of developing those players? And I don't mean scouting and poaching.. I mean actual next level development? Rating from top to bottom:

    Westside Timbers
    FC Portland
    Crossfire
    Washington Timbers
    Capital
    Eastside Timbers
    BSC

In the last 15 years only one of those clubs has produced multiple MLS Top Draft choices & direct to Europe pros. Not to mention a host of YNT regulars and even 1 USMNT player.

This club has no interest in becoming a full fledged DA program, it makes no sense for this market. As they have alone have produces more top players than an entire state in the last 15 years. It is what it is.

This club has been approached numerous times to become part of the DA and says no thanks.

You are living in the past. There are currently several boys from the Timbers DA involved in National team programs from different age groups. None of them are boys that came from westside.

Like Adrian Villegas.. Westside Timbers Product a member of a present day competing YNT.

Past Behavior is the Best Predictor of Future Behavior

Who are Past Portland Timbers DA national team players that are products of other clubs in the area. Please list. It would be great if other clubs could step up and supply some pros or nat team players.

            Thanks

I know about half the kids who got on this year (U14) and a few of them trained with Tracey but they were already excellent players. They have been above the curve since they were 9 years old or so. And the ones I know are also excellent kids too, inclusive, hard working and good natured kids.

Top two DA right now are Crossfire and Vantucky Timbers. And I would give Vantucky the edge because they have the best style of game.

You do realize "living in the past" is a subjective term. Several from different age groups is interesting considering the Timbers DA has gone down in age groups over time.

How many players have left the DA to return to clubs by their choice, not by being benched or cut?

'In the past' meaning 2016 or before?

Give me a break. ODP players and others sometimes move on to Timbers DA who then take credit for players.

                          Examples:
2016 (Nov) U14 National team call-up: 03s Isaac Homer (NEU) and Andre Saucedo-Avila (Westside); both then listed as Timbers DA for 2017

2017 U14 64-player roster just out has Isaac and Cole Cruthers (former FC Portland)

2017 U15 National team Kashope Oladapo (former Eastside, 2014), no U16s, U17 team Adrian Villegas (former Westside, 2014); U18 Will Inalien( former Kendall SC, 2016)

Let's face it. For Oregon ODP is dying. The DA is here to stay

What is DA? Is it for all ages?
