And now we have given up 12 goals in 2 games. Kid, you stood in the wrong line.

You gotta wonder why the 5 foot tall girl raised her hand and said I'm a goalie

Far and away the two best goalies I ever played with were both All-Americans. One was 5'-9", the other was 6'4". Both unbelievable. Smaller goalie had advantages the other didn't, but even he would tell you all things being equal he'd rather have been 6'4"
That being said...he was told he was too small for his entire career and he stuck with it and excelled.
Yes, especially at the U-13 age when kids first hit the big field and nets, there can be problems. It's called development, right? That eases over time.
What age was this rant directed at?

The fact that this was the only keeper this big 3 club could recruit and field for this age group is sad.
Playing keeper, and I've played hundreds of games, is thankless. It's what you sign up for, but the reality is this thread could easily be about your midfield errors and how thin your defense is and how your team gets deflated too easily; instead, it's about the goalie's height.
No wonder nobody wanted to sign up for it. Kids hear the sideline grumbling when they make a mistake. And, it's 10x worse when it's a goalie because it ends up in the back of the net when they f-up.

I'd punch you in the face if you ever said this garbage to me on the sideline. God bless that keeper.
