they both seem to be very legitimate organizations. more info on Valencia than Barca however. It should be interesting. I don't know about taking control of LI Soccer. there are too many options and the organizations are definitely not for everyone.

          2000-2005 $2050
          2006-2010 $1950
          2011 $1500

Train 3x per week but it appears one day is doubled up with another age group on their web site. Also only 90 min for older kids so 3 hours/wk with age group and 1.5 hours/wk doubled up with another age group doesn't seem particularly exciting.

One league so again older kids get supposedly EDP. If they add 4 tournaments and winter program like a futsal league this will easily be over $3000 for players. Not terrible but I know several people on tight budgets that went to this that either are not getting college showcases or are in for a shock when they see total costs.

          List staff as:

          Technical Director
          Head Coach 1
          Head Coach 2
          Head Coach 3

Can this really be a 4 man operation? Maybe someone can clarify that statement on their website.

          Training schedule:

          6.15 - 7.30 6.15 - 7.30 7.45 - 9.15 7.45 - 9.15
          Monday 2010 B&W 2008 B&W 2007 B&W 2006 B&W 2003 B&W 2002 B&W
          Tuesday 2011 B&W 2009 B&W 2005 B&W 2004 B&W 2001 B&W 2000 B&W
          Wednesday09/10 B&W 2008 B&W 06/07 B&W 04/05 B&W 02/03 B&W 00/01 B&W
          Thursday 2011 B&W 2009 B&W 2005 B&W 2004 B&W 2001 B&W 2000 B&W
          Friday 2010 B&W 2008 B&W 2007 B&W 2006 B&W 2003 B&W 2002 B&W
Saturday League League League League League League
Sunday League League League League League League

          For a better format: https://valenciacfacademy-ny.com/events-calendar/

Good luck but I heard some age groups will have a substantial number of rec players. Let's see what happens when Real Madrid opens its program in central Nassau next year.

Play on a town team and bank the savings in a 529. Invest in tutors, far more academic aid than scholarship money out there by at least a 10:1 ratio.

VCF looks good but take down the rubbish about path to pro, that's quite misleading.

there is nothing wrong with instilling hope into young kids..it beats other alternatives. what in your opinion would be an acceptable path to pro...chance? luck? right place and right time scenario? should everyone never talk about pro? there is this underlying stigma about being dishonest about providing a pathway. please elaborate.

Not the op but it's the same dream they sell in DA - a pro path. Facts are very few kids will every be pro potential. It's just reality. Most families know it and focus on the college goal, not pro soccer or the NT. It's tends to be the younger families who are more vulnerable to sales tactics. They haven't figured it out yet, but they eventually do.

This club was broke before being bought by a Singapore investor and looked ready for relegation to second division soccer at the beginning of the year.

Not sure why you are so eager to contribute $3000-$4000 a year to help him recoup his horrible investment. Before you all freak out it is $2,000 for just training and one league. Add tournaments and showcases and maybe a winter indoor league and you will easily get over $3000.

So far they have only entered some younger boys teams, U7 through U10, in JSS/NYCSL.

If what I have been told and what I have read is true you will see the older age groups entered in the new Long Island EDP division. Correct me if I'm wrong but that deadline is July 15 so you won't see any of the older age groups posted anywhere until sometime after that.

Why is Larry so hateful of Valencia? Makes me want to look at them again.

Anyone a part of them? Know where in "Central Nassau" they are expecting to build a facility? Or is it going to be at Post for a while, which isn't bad, but not what was promoted.
