More choice without so much money and silly travel involved would have been more exciting.

I believe DA is more of a risk for the league. Yes, players once signed cannot play for another DA, but they can leave and play ECNL. I could see this happening to a lot of DA players who aren't playing a lot. They can go ECNL and play. Financially it could really have a negative effect on some DA programs.

Yet PDA advertised all tryouts, including the GDA, on their website .... and have Rutgers Head Coach Mike O'Neill listed as a contact.

PDA loves ECNL. ECNL loves PDA.

So why love PDA and hate EM b/c both have the GDA?

SMH. Someone is desparately clutching at straws to insinuate ECNL is unhappy with EM.

Nycsc DA will be practicing and playing games at WC fields. Kaz will still be around WC, just not coaching any girls teams for WC anymore.

Once NYCFC builds their place across the street, the GDA will move there as well. Kazbek now works for NYCFC. Read the press release from WC.....seems pretty clear to me.

Until you look at the WC Facebook page with one of the latest posts claiming he is their DOC. May want to clean that up.

Doesn't matter, both organizations will be good and compete for players. NPL and EDP will be the most hurt by all of this. My daughter could make GDA but she already said she doesn't care and wants to play HS. Honestly, it's up to her. She is in the final stages of committing to a college. Many of the friends/teammates are split about what to do. Will be an interesting year or two.

Read the statement posted on their website. It says he will be leaving the "girls" program. Still involved the the Boys DA and ENPL programs.

Press release from WC clearly states that Kaz is "...leaving World Class FC Girls program". Says nothing about him leaving WC completely.

I am sure he will continue to be involved, just "unofficially." He's going to keep tabs on girls who can move over to the GDA year after year.

Stuff like this occur all the time. At least PDA is upfront with O'Neill's GDA participation.

It's all about money and control -- both from the league's perspective and now the clubs who were granted both. They can't "sell" parents on ECNL if GDA is in the same shop as the A league. By separating them (but really still being involved) they get the best of both. If Kaz is still involved with boy's WC, don't you think strategic decisions about the girl's program will make it his way? They will be controlling both and figuring out how to monetize both programs.

LI SClub needs to put out some inf and soon. They have no DOC or anything. Looks very unorganized.
