    USMNT is bad

    I just can’t anymore.

"Bad" is a very kind description. Go USSF! I wonder how this will turn out on the girls side? What else can they possibly bite off right now?

They play with zero passion, zero creativity, can’t defend and can’t score.
      Absolutely horrible.

The USSF will jut conjure up another dumb idea like the birth year mandate or the GDA in a pathetic attempt to distract everyone from focusing their attention on the fact that the USSF is a typical ineffective, out of touch government bureaucracy that cares far more about hoarding power than achieving results.

            Probably true. Sad.

it's strange but contrasting the style of the U20 team vs senior side --- U20s were pressing, ball hawking, and generally playing a more entertaining style. a lot more of those guys (vs senior sides) were academy products but left to play in europe, and frankly, it shows. the frustrating thing is that you can already see how the 2022 WC will play out -- assuming we can even step on the pitch. I guess we really need to wait to 2026?!? Go USA!

All very premature. They just called the USMNT team up this month for friendlies and are missing key players (Pulisic, Bradley, etc.). Berhalter still experimenting with formations and players in different positions. The friendlies they lost to Jamaica and Venezuela really don’t mean much and hopefully they look better in the upcoming Concacaf Cup. It’s a long road to 2022 and you can be sure the roster will change several times before then. Berhalter has been pretty frank about how he sees things:

If we think that MB and CP are the answers, then a very, very long road is ahead.
The missing player excuse is straight out of the losing club playbook of why we lost...

As long as Altidore is the best striker in America, it might be time to root for another country.
And Berhalter was only laying the groundwork for what turned out to be a horror show

and if we're confident that bradley is the best #6 option for the next couple years please put my hopes in the meat grinder now.

                        yep.

how about giving your best young striker zero international minutes this summer? what was the point of not letting Sargent play with the u20s if he was just going to get cut by the full team and give up his roster spot to the likes of MLS retreads Morris and Zardes? how can that make any sense to anyone?

Sargent is at home training against cones and an empty net...

I couldn't figure this out either. It's one thing to not play him, but not to put him on the roster right now and get some experience?! You simply can't make this stuff up!!

They should send the defenders over.
And Fulham cannot be pleased watching Ream

Bradley is not a key player
