Hopefully they don't do the same with the girls/women.

I'd probably do the opposite of whatever they do.
Thatís the product youíre buying with the girls DA. Whatís that smell?

I wish all the kids would go back and play HS it's become a talent-less void where the 'best' teams left get smacked by 8 to 10 goals in the semis and final. It's sad. HS Soccer is not a Happy place unless you were a bench player or a senior on the block to be cut, nowadays you gets to play due to the movement of players to the DA at your school. Kids that would be normally get cut in the fall are starters due to the DA rapture. See HS results that back this up.

So what? Why do you care? Kids all deserve a chance to prove they can play.

Maybe not every player or likely other players on their team or area are being invited to National Team camps, but this group of players is not on an island as your comments seem to suggest, and they need a league that commands the top 19.9% of players to want to all play in too. That is not the case now, there is dilution of the top of talent across different leagues. Even if the top 100 girls are ALL playing DA with no feasible commitment to any other activity be that HS Soccer or anything else in their lives, who they play soccer with and against in the GDA (or any league ECNL, USYS) regularly matters for their development. To be a top league you must provide opportunities to develop the best and unless US Soccer starts building an academy residential school for the top 100 to just play each other, you need league rules that avoid dilution of the top 20% of players going to different leagues.
After the nation's top 100 players (birth year and gender), the next 500 to 1000 players are usually very close in ability , some of this next wave are burgeoning/potential elite level players someday. They of course need to play against this special upper crest elite, this way they develop and get better through competition.

US Soccer has the top 100 players in each age and gender identified it's what their scouts do do full time. Having these specials all in the DA is incredible and they (US Soccer) wouldn't want it any other way.

The other kids who play USYS or US Club and are not part of the DA, specifically the kids who live outside of DA clubs are identified by US Soccer as well. It's worth noting just because their home state can't earn a DA club, it's not held against them. They still have a chance.

The DA is the vehicle that carries all of our nation's most elite youth phenoms, it's been producing college soccer's finest players, USYNT members and MLS american Pros like clockwork for the better part of the last 10 years with the boys. Now the girls are now allowed in the elite car and right away USYNT feature only the Girls DA products and top colleges are chasing the DA girls players in hopes of landing the best of the best.

Whether you agree with this infrastructure and operational system of identification of our nation's elite youth. Since it may be matter dear to your pocketbook and heart it means nothing to those in charge running the show.

Fly away and enjoy your special time.

Let the others do their thing, nobody is bothered.
