When your country doesn't love the sport above everything else it doesn't matter the population. When your country does love the sport above all like Iceland, Netherlands & Belgium you can do great things with a small population.

This is the USA, Soccer is not a sport of our people. Heck, NASCAR has a better following.

We are not Iceland where Soccer is King. We are the USA where Trump is king.

Apples and Oranges my friend.
Different poster and I disagree - in a country of our size and plenty of passionate players (maybe not on a percentage basis, but in total # because of our size) we should be able to cobble together NT teams stronger than what we have.

US Soccer has done a horrible job on the men's side. They will wreck the women's side too.

When we do have a kids with the requisite talent to relevant at the world level it's best they go abroad, which is common sense. American high level coaches have no desire to gravitate to the sport of Soccer.

Unregistered The women's team is finally starting to pick some more tactical & technical player like Mal Pugh & Rose L. Simply picking the tall fast girls at ulittles and moving them through the ranks isn't working anymore. USWNT is starting to see the light but change will take time. At least they are trying.
