Mergers are happening all around the tampa area and florida in general. Now is the time to act. Here in tampa area we have VSI WFF (Brandon/West FL Premier merger), TBU (HCU/RSL merger from last year) and Clearwater Chargers/Fusion merger. VSI WFF has ECNL for the girls. Chargers have the US boys development academy. TBU while left out for now is located right in the middle of these completed mergers. Now is the time to go ahead and combine these clubs to form one of the largest clubs in the US. You then have the boys academy and girls elite league together, and a huge feeder program. Not only would you have high quality teams in the ECNL and US boys academy but also high quality teams to play in R3PL as well. Let's put differences aside and truly put together a club to rival any in the US. Any thoughts? Would this be good for the area to be a true national power?

Too funny to think about. The organizational meeting would be a pay-per-view event. Don’t think you could get a venue big enough for everyone heads to fit.

Sounds like TBU is the one left out and without a chair when the music stopped. TBU will soon be nonimportant so sho cares about those back stabbing loser. The only one who cares about them is the DUI task force.

The Boards need to make that decision without the GM's
Also, some Board members are on the board, just so their kid gets on the "A" team, with the SUPER CLUB, their kid will not make the "A" team and they will vote against a SUPER CLUB.

The ink hasn't even dried on two of those three mergers and already you want *more* consolidation? Perhaps it would be wise to give these newly-enlarged clubs a couple of years to demonstrate there's some upside to all this recent merger-mania before committing ourselves to a single soccer overlord in the Tampa Bay region?

Just speculating, but I bet a merge of BIG clubs is much more difficult than a big swallowing several small clubs to result in on big.
once a club reaches the size of any of these three, the egos are proportianally as big as the clubs, and when that happens, there's no amount of negotiation that will satisfy the poo-bahs in charge.

Do not understand
The club will only be as good as the training staff. Why not a group of clubs chip in for a dallas cup team or disney cup team. Each player from that club player is allowed a tryout. Now this might be worth something. Take 3-4 older age groups to two end of year tourneys.
